China's August Crude Imports Hit 8-Month Low
China's August crude imports slid to their lowest monthly level since January at 8M bbl, as independent refiners in eastern Shandong province also known as "teapots", carried out planned repair work in the July-August period, newswires report. Chinese crude imports are expected to rise in the following months, since refiners there are now ready for the peak demand season in September-October.
