Chinese Iron Ore Port Stockpiles
Stockpiles of iron ore at Chinese ports fell for a ninth consecutive week, dropping by 0.9 Mt to the lowest level since mid-April at 132.2 Mt in the week ending 25 September, according to data from 42 portside locations monitored by U-metal. Stocks have now fallen by more than 11 Mt from their 2017 peak of 143.5 Mt, achieved in July, but remain over 32 Mt above the year-ago level.
