As a Junior back-end web application developer at Simpson Spence Young, you will be a pivotal part of our development team, working on innovative projects that require expertise in a range of essential technologies. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
· Node.js / Express.js: Proven hands-on experience in building robust, scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
· Typescript: Proficiency in TypeScript for developing scalable and maintainable code.
· PostgreSQL Database: Extensive experience in working with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and complex query writing.
· MS SQL Database: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration and query optimization.
· Azure App Services: Hands-on experience in deploying and managing web applications on Azure App Services.
· Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
· SSO and Multifactor Authentications: Expertise in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) and multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions to enhance security.
· Fluent in English.
· Develop and maintain web applications with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams both local and remote to define and implement web development solutions.
· Design and optimize databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
· Deploy and manage applications on Azure App Services.
· Implement and maintain authentication solutions, including SSO and MFA.
· Graduate level of education, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum of 1 years of professional web development experience.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
