Chinese Steel Output Falls Further

China's crude steel production fell by 4.6% year-on-year in July to a five month low of 65.8 Mt, according to National Bureau of Statistics data. Steel output has now fallen on an annual basis in every month of 2015. Production for the period January-July was down by 1.8% on the same seven months in 2014 at 476.0 Mt. Chinese industrial production increased by 6.0% in July, down from 6.8% in June and below the January-July average of 6.3%, according to National Bureau of Statistics data.
