Chinese Manufacturing PMI Falls

The official Chinese manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) dropped to 49.6 in November, down from 49.8 in October and its lowest level since August 2012. It has now been below the 50 benchmark that separates expansion from contraction for four successive months. Meanwhile, according to the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, China's steel sector PMI fell sharply to a seven-year low of 37.0 in November, down 5.2 points from October, as conditions in the sector continued to deteriorate, SteelFirst reports.
