Coal exports from the US fell to their lowest level since November 2010 in May at 5.6 Mt, down 13% year-on-year, according to official data. Coking coal exports were down 9% year-on-year in May at 3.7 Mt, while there was a 20% drop in steam coal exports to 1.8 Mt. Exports of all coal types in the period January-May were down 18% on the same five months in 2014 at 31.1 Mt.
