China's crude imports from the Middle East hit record high but West African volumes fall

China's crude oil imports from the Middle East in April increased by 779K b/d m-o-m and 392K b/d y-o-y to a record high of 4.26M b/d, data from the country's General Administration of Customs shows. Imports from Latin America and the Caribbean jumped by 195K b/d m-o-m and 295K b/d y-o-y to 989K b/d. However, the country's imports from West Africa slipped by 86K b/d m-o-m and 322K b/d y-o-y to 1.01M b/d.
