Iron ore exports from Brazil fell slightly from September levels to 34.2 Mt in October, although they were still up 2.4 Mt year-on-year, official data shows. Exports for January-October rose by 17.6 Mt on the same period in 2014 to 298.7 Mt. Meanwhile, Brazil's corn exports surged to an all-time high of 5.6 Mt, up by 2.4 Mt year-on-year, resulting in shipments for the year running 4.0 Mt higher than the same period in 2014 at 18.2 Mt. Although continuing their seasonal decline, Brazilian soya (beans & meal) exports were more than double year-ago levels in October at 4.0 Mt.
