Chinese Steel Production
China's crude steel output in October was virtually flat compared with September, but fell 3.1% year-on-year in October to 66.1 Mt, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. This marks the tenth consecutive month that steel production has declined on an annual basis. Output in January-October was down by 2.2% on the same period in 2014 to 675.1 Mt. Meanwhile, the country's industrial production in October rose by 5.6% from a year ago, edging down from a 5.7% rise in September, representing the slowest increase since March.
