Hay Point Coal Exports
Coal exports from the Hay Point and Dalrymple Bay coal terminals slipped to a combined 9.3 Mt in October, down by 1.2 Mt year-on-year, according to port authority data. Shipments from Dalrymple Bay fell to a six-month low of 5.4 Mt, while exports from Hay Point dropped to 3.9 Mt. Nevertheless, combined exports for January-October were still up by 2.1 Mt year-on-year at 94.3 Mt. Last week the SSY Australian Coal Port Congestion Index sank below four days for the first time since 2005.
