China raised 2016 non-state crude oil import quota
China has set its 2016 crude oil import quota for non-state companies at 1.76M b/d, Reuters reports, citing a statement from China's Ministry of Commerce. This is more than double 2014's figure of 755K b/d.
Canadian Iron Ore Exports
Canadian iron ore exports (excluding US cargoes) rose to 3.3 Mt in August, up slightly year-on-year, according to the Tex report. Shipments to China rose to their highest level this year at 1.1 Mt in August, while exports to Europe fell to a four-month low of 1.3 Mt.
Japan's JX expected to raise crude runs m-o-m in November
Japan's largest oil refiner JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corporation is expected to increase its crude throughputs for domestic consumption to 1.05M b/d in November, up from 937K b/d in October, Reuters reports. However, this is down by 1% when compared with November 2014 volumes.
