Japanese Steel Exports Fall
Japan's steel exports fell to a seven-month low of 3.3 Mt in September, down 0.4 Mt year-on-year, according to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. Although shipments to China, South Korea and Asia as a whole rose slightly from August's levels, they were still all down year-on-year. There were also annual falls in exports to South America, the USA and the Middle East. Exports for January-September were down slightly on the same nine months in 2014 at 31.4 Mt.
