Asia’s Imports Of Iranian Oil Rise In February
Imports of Iranian oil by China, India, Japan and South Korea in February increased by 368K b/d m-o-m and 738K b/d y-o-y, to the highest volume since at least 2010, at 2.01M b/d, Reuters report, citing government and vessel arrivals data. China’s imports of Iranian oil rose by 255K b/d m-o-m and 120K b/d y-o-y to 658K b/d. Imports by India were up by 92K b/d from January and 431K b/d compared to February 2016 to a 4-month high of 647K b/d. Japan’s imports increased by 21K b/d m-o-m but fell by 9K b/d y-o-y to 230K b/d. Imports by South Korea were flat m-o-m but up by 195K b/d y-o-y to 478K b/d.
