Libya’s Sharara Oil Field Closed Again
Oil
Libya’s 330K b/d Sharara oil field has been closed again, only a week after it was reopened, newswires report. The field had previously been closed due to an armed protest, and a similar incident at the pipeline which connects the Sharara oil field to the Zawiya export terminal appears to be the reason for the latest closure. The field is the largest in Libya, although output has been restricted to closer to 200K b/d recently as unrest within the country limited operations.
