South Korean Coal Imports Rise in March
Coal
South Korea imported 12.1 Mt of coal in March, up by 0.5 Mt year-on-year, as higher shipments from Indonesia, South Africa and Canada helped counter a decline in cargoes from Australia and Russia, according to the Tex Report. This increase was driven by a 0.9 Mt rise in imports of steam coal and anthracite combined to 9.5 Mt whereas, by contrast, coking coal imports fell by 0.5 Mt to 2.6 Mt.
