Brazilian Iron Ore and Grain Exports in July

Brazilian iron ore exports slipped to a three-month low of 31.3 Mt in July, although the July total was still up by 1.1 Mt year-on-year, trade ministry data show. At 215.3 Mt, shipments in January-July were up by 7.8 Mt on the same period in 2016.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s corn exports began their seasonal upturn in July, rising to a ten-month high of 2.3 Mt, more than double the year-ago level. By contrast, soya exports (beans &meal) continued to retreat from their annual peak although, at 8.1 Mt, they were still up by 0.9 Mt year-on-year.
