US Shale Crude Output Set To Hit Record High


US shale oil production is set to hit a fresh record high in September, rising by 118K b/d m-o-m and 979K b/d y-o-y to 6.15M b/d, according to the US Energy Information Administration’s August Drilling Productivity Report. Over the first 9 months of 2017, US shale oil output is forecast to average 5.70M b/d, up by 354K b/d y-o-y. This compares with a y-o-y decline of 476K b/d during the same period in 2016.
