Chinese Steel Output Slows in November
Chinese crude steel production dropped to a nine-month low of 66.2 Mt in November as anti-pollution measures introduced mid-month curtailed output, the National Bureau of Statistics reports. Nevertheless, steel production was still up by 2.2% year-on-year. At 764.8 Mt, output in January-November was up by 5.7% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, annual industrial production growth in China slowed to 6.1% in November, down from 6.2% in October and a three-month low, official data show.
