Eni’s Arctic Goliat Field to Restart within Days

Norway’s Oil Safety Authority has completed a safety verification process at Eni’s Goliat Platform, and output is now set to restart within the following days, newswires report. The 100K b/d oilfield has been closed since 6 October, when Norway’s safety regulator shut it down due to safety issues related to the platform’s explosion-proof electric motors. Norway’s crude oil production in September stood at 1.451M b/d, about 100K b/d lower m-o-m and at the same level y-o-y, according to published information by the Joint Organisation Data Initiative.
