US Steel Imports Up in January

The US imported 2.51 Mt of steel in January, up 0.11 Mt year-on-year, according to US Census Bureau data. South Korea and Turkey were the two largest sources of US steel imports in January, both at 0.28 Mt. They were followed closely by Brazil (0.27 Mt) and the EU (0.26 Mt), although shipments from the latter were at the lowest level in over five years.
