Mexico’s Crude Exports Fall To 6-Month Low
Mexico’s crude oil exports in December slipped by 158K b/d m-o-m to 1.1M b/d, the lowest since June, data from state-oil firm Pemex shows. However, exports were up by 107K b/d y-o-y.
Canadian Oil and Gas Well Drilling Forecast Raised
The Petroleum Services Association of Canada has raised its forecast for oil and gas well drilling in 2017 by 23%, with 5,150 wells now expected to be drilled against a November forecast of 4,175.

Imports of Iranian oil by China, India, Japan and South Korea in December increased by 949K b/d (or 101%) y-o-y to 1.9M b/d, Reuters reports, citing government and tanker tracking data. However, in m-o-m terms imports slipped for a second-consecutive month, falling 55K b/d from November.

South Sudan Aims To Double Oil Output In Fiscal 2017/2018
South Sudan is aiming to more than double its oil production in the fiscal 2017/2018 year (starting in July) to 290K b/d, Reuters reports, citing the country’s finance minister. This would put output above its levels before 2013 when military conflict in the country cut production.
