Libya’s Oil Output Up To 750K b/d, As First Tanker Loads At Zawiya


Libya’s oil production was up to 750K b/d by the end of last week, 50K b/d more than in the prior week, newswires report, citing a statement from the country’s deputy prime minister Ahmed Maiteeg. This compares with output of around 580K b/d in November (the latest month which data is available for) and approximately 280K b/d in August (before East Libyan forces captured a number of major ports and oil facilities in September), according to the International Energy Agency. On Friday, the first cargo of Sharara crude from the Zawiya terminal was set to be loaded in more than two years.
