Brazil’s Product Imports Fall For Fourth-Consecutive Month

Brazil’s clean product imports (including diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and naphtha) in May fell by a combined 148K b/d m-o-m and 52K b/d y-o-y to 318K b/d, MDIC data shows. This is the lowest total since December and the fourth-consecutive month in which imports have fallen from the prior month since hitting a record-high of 695K b/d in February. However, in spite of the decline, total clean product imports in the first 5 months of 2017 were still up by 166K b/d y-o-y to 501K b/d.
