OECD Lifts 2017 GDP Growth Forecast

In its latest World Economic Outlook the OECD has lifted its forecast for global GDP growth in 2017 by 0.2 percentage points from interim projections published in March to 3.5%, citing improved economic confidence alongside higher levels of investment and trade.

 

The OECD has lifted its forecast for projected Chinese GDP growth in 2017 by 0.1 points to 6.6%, while stronger expansion is also expected in both the Euro area (1.8%) and Japan (1.4%). By contrast, the forecast for US GDP growth has been cut by 0.3 points to 2.1%.
