US steel imports slumped to a ten-month low of 2.4 Mt in February, preliminary import licence data from the US Census Bureau show. However, such was the weakness of the country’s steel imports in February 2016, the lowest since December 2011 at 2.1 Mt, shipments were still up by 0.3 Mt year-on-year.
