Colombian & Indonesian Coal Trade Update
Colombian steam coal exports declined to the lowest level since March 2016 in September at 6.3 Mt, down by 1.1 Mt year-on-year, IHS Energy reports. Shipments to Europe fell by 1.2 Mt to 3.8 Mt while exports to both the Americas and Asia were weak compared with recent months. Colombia exported 63.6 Mt in the first nine months of the year, 1.7 Mt below the year-ago level.
Indonesian coal exports edged marginally higher year-on-year to 32.9 Mt in August, a four-month high, Bank Indonesia data show. Shipments in January-August were 11.4 Mt higher than the year-ago level at 250.5 Mt.
