Vietnamese Coal Imports Climb in March

Vietnam’s coal imports rose by 0.5 Mt year-on-year to a seven-month high of 4.5 Mt in March, according to customs data collected by IHS. Imports of Indonesian and Australian coal increased by 0.6 Mt and 0.4 Mt on the year to 2.1 Mt and 1.6 Mt, respectively.

Total coal receipts in 1q20 climbed to 11.1 Mt from 9.4 Mt in 1q19.
