Chinese Industrial Profits Rise in July

Getting back on track after a slowdown due to the coronavirus, Chinese industrial profits climbed 19.6% year-on-year to 589.5 billion yuan in July, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data show. Profits in the first seven months of 2020 declined 8.1% to 3.1 trillion yuan, narrowing 4.7 percentage points from January-June’s drop.
