Indonesian Coal and Bauxite Exports in June

Indonesian coal exports (including lignite) fell 1.6 Mt year-on-year to 32.1 Mt in June, data from Bank Indonesia reveal. Shipments rose from 29.4 Mt in May, although total 2q20 exports (93.1 Mt) dropped to a three-year low.

Meanwhile, the country’s bauxite exports continued to grow, rising 1.2 Mt on the year to 2.1 Mt in June, the highest level since January 2014. Loadings in January-June increased to 10.8 Mt (+3.8 Mt).
