Japanese Crude Steel Output Extends Decline in July

Japanese crude steel output continued to fall, dropping by 27.9% year-on-year to 6.0 Mt in July, data from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation show. However, production in July inched up 0.4 Mt on the month and the rate of annual decline slowed from 36.1% in June. Total output in the first seven months of 2020 decreased 18.8% to 48.3 Mt.
