US shale oil production set to ease in September
Oil
Oil production from the seven top US shale regions is expected to decline by 20K b/d m-o-m and 1.33M b/d y-o-y to 7.56M b/d in September, after previously increasing for 3 consecutive months, according to Drilling productivity reports from the Energy Information Administration (EIA). Output from the Eagle Ford and Andarko Basins is set to account for the majority of the decline, falling by 14K b/d m-o-m to 1.08M b/d and 13K b/d m-o-m to 382K b/d respectively. Production from the Bakken Basin is predicted to increase by 7K b/d m-o-m to 1.19M b/d, however future output from the region remains volatile due to the possibility that the Dakota Access Pipeline, the largest pipeline transporting oil from the basin, could close, Reuters report.
