Chinese Crude Steel Output Rises in November

Chinese crude steel production grew 8.0% year-on-year to 87.7 Mt in November, data from the National Bureau of Statistics show. Despite production slipping to a seven-month low, output in the first 11 months of 2020 rose 5.5% to 961.2 Mt.
Meanwhile, China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) member mills’ production proved strong in the initial ten days of December with output jumping to just over 2.20 Mt/day, a new record high. The previous peak was achieved at the end of September with 2.19 Mt/day, industry group data reveal.
