South Korean Coal Imports Decline in November

South Korean steam coal imports (including anthracite) dropped 1.4 Mt year-on-year to 8.5 Mt in November, data collected by IHS show. With declines posted in each month since July, receipts tumbled 14.9 Mt to 93.2 Mt in January-November, the lowest level for the period in a decade.

The country’s coking coal arrivals eased to 1.7 Mt last month (-0.1 Mt), while year to date imports fell 1.5 Mt to 19.4 Mt.
