Chinese Daily Crude Steel Output Falls

Daily crude steel production from members of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) fell by 2.7% from the previous ten-day period to 1.9 Mt/day on 1-10 February. However, production in the first ten-days of this month was up by about 0.6% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, stocks of five key steel products in major Chinese cities rose by 2.6 Mt on the week to 18.9 Mt on 14 February, the highest level since March 2018, U-Metal data show.
