Chinese HRB Price at 3-Month Low

The Chinese hot rolled band (HRB) price fell by $22/t in the two weeks to 12 February to $445/t, the lowest level since November 2019, according to the latest SteelBenchmarker from World Steel Dynamics. By contrast, the Chinese HRB price was $474/t a year earlier.

The US domestic price for HRB fell to $650/t on 12 February, down from $659/t on 27 January. Meanwhile, the Western European HRB price rose by $11/t in the two weeks to Wednesday to $491/t.
