Port Hedland Iron Ore Exports Decline in January

Australia’s Port Hedland shipped 40.5 Mt of iron ore last month, falling by 1.3 Mt on the year and down from 47.4 Mt in December 2019, port authority data show.
Exports to China fell by 1.2 Mt year-on-year to just under 34.0 Mt in January, while loadings for Japan eased by 0.5 Mt to 1.3 Mt. But iron ore exports to South Korea rose by 0.6 Mt to 4.2 Mt last month, an eight-month high.
