Chinese crude imports from Saudi Arabia rise
Chinese crude imports from Saudi Arabia in 2019 rose by 534K b/d y-o-y to 1.67M b/d, according to Chinese customs data.
The increase means Saudi Arabia has overtaken Russia to become China’s largest crude supplier. Imports from Russia were also up last year, rising 125K b/d y-o-y. Total crude imports to China in 2019 were up 892K b/d y-o-y to 10.16M b/d.
