Queensland Coal Exports Climb in December

Port authority data reveal that combined coal throughput in December at the main Queensland ports of Abbot Point, Dalrymple Bay, Gladstone and Hay Point climbed 2.3 Mt annually to 20.8 Mt, the second-highest level on record. Exports were up at all four ports, with Gladstone (+0.7 Mt to 6.9 Mt) and Abbot Point (+0.7 Mt to 3.2 Mt) experiencing the largest annual increases.
