Buckeye Partners launch South Texas Gateway oil terminal

Buckeye Partners have started crude oil exports from its South Texas Gateway terminal located at the US Gulf Coast port of Corpus Christi, which when fully operational will be capable of exporting 800K b/d of oil from its two deepwater docks, Reuters report. Operations will be increased alongside further construction through till the end of 1Q 2021. The terminal is currently expected to be able to store 8.6M bbls of crude oil, with the potential for this figure to rise to 10M bbls.
