Chinese Receipts of Australian Iron Ore Surge to Record High in June

Chinese iron ore imports from Australia climbed to a new high of 66.1 Mt in June, according to a breakdown of customs data, helping to propel overall June imports to the second-highest month on record of 101.7 Mt. Arrivals from Ukraine were also at a record high (2.9 Mt), while those from India increased to 4.6 Mt, an eight-year high. Meanwhile, reflecting recovering export availability, receipts from Brazil rose to a four-month high (17.0 Mt).
