Colombian Steam Coal Exports Drop in June

Colombian steam coal exports dropped by 2.6 Mt year-on-year to 3.7 Mt in June, the lowest since February 2013, data collected by IHS show.
Shipments to the Americas plummeted by 1.8 Mt to 1.1 Mt last month, driven by weaker exports to Chile and Mexico. Meanwhile, loadings for Asia fell to a seven-month low of 0.5 Mt (-0.9 Mt on the year).
However, exports to European and Mediterranean countries inched up by 0.1 Mt to 2.2 Mt, supported by rising shipments to Turkey.
Overall steam coal shipments in the 1h20 declined to just shy of 32.0 Mt, down by 3.7 Mt year-on-year.
