German Crude Steel Production Drops in June

Crude steel output in Germany fell by 27% year-on-year to just under 2.5 Mt in June, according to data from the country’s steel federation WV Stahl.

This followed weak output in April-May because of the coronavirus pandemic and left 2q20 crude steel production down by 26% on the year. This compares with a decline of 6% in the first three months of 2020.
