Russian Steam Coal Exports Edge Higher in May

Russian steam coal exports inched up by 0.1 Mt on the year to 14.1 Mt in May, while coking coal deliveries fell to 1.6 Mt from 2.2 Mt, according to data gathered by IHS.

Following a bridge collapse in early June, steam coal railings to Murmansk were operating at 50% of normal capacity as of mid-July via a recently installed diversion, industry media reported. However, bridge repairs may not be finished until October or early 2021.
