US Coal Exports Drop in May

US coking coal exports (excluding Canada) declined to 2.4 Mt in May (-2.0 Mt year-on-year), the lowest since September 2016, National Mining Association data show.

Meanwhile, the country’s steam coal shipments fell to 1.5 Mt, less than half of May 2019’s level.
