Brazilian Soya Exports Grow in May

Brazilian soyabean exports gained by 5.5 Mt year-on-year to 15.5 Mt in May, according to preliminary government data. Shipments eased from hitting a record high of just over 16.3 Mt in April.

The country’s soyameal exports rose to just under 2.0 Mt last month (+0.3 Mt on the year), the highest since June 2004.

Meanwhile, corn shipments fell below 0.1 Mt for a second month in a row in May, down from nearly 1.0 Mt in May 2019.
