China's crude throughput rises by 530K b/d m-o-m in May

Crude oil throughput at China’s domestic refineries increased by 530K b/d m-o-m to 13.69M b/d in May, with runs growing for the second month in a row as demand continues to recover, according to data from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics. This is up 1.42M b/d compared to the same month last year, and the highest throughput since the record level of 13.84M b/d in December 2019.
