Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to resume production from Neutral Zone oil fields

Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are set to resume oil production from the jointly operated Khafji and Wafra oilfields from July 1, after production was paused from the start of June in order to comply with OPEC+ cuts, Reuters report. Output from the Khafji oilfield is set to start at 80K b/d, before rising to 100K b/d after two months, with the goal of reaching 175K b/d by the end of the year. The Wafra oilfield will have an initial output of 10K b/d, which is set to rise to 70K b/d by the end of August and then 145K b/d by the end of 2020.
