Argentina Eyes Higher Soya Export Tax

Argentina plans to raise taxes on soya (beans + meal) exports to 33% from a current level of 30%, Reuters reported on 3 March. The government aims to boost revenues ahead of a planned sovereign bond restructuring.

This tax increase was signalled by the Agricultural Ministry’s suspension of the registration of agricultural exports on 26 February.
