Canadian Coking Coal Exports Ease

Canadian coking coal exports (excluding the US) edged down by 0.2 Mt year-on-year to 1.9 Mt in January, data collected by IHS show.

Coking coal shipments to both India and Japan slipped by 0.1 Mt on the year to 0.3 Mt apiece in January. However, shipments to South Korea rose to 0.6 Mt (+0.2 Mt year-on-year) and loadings for Turkey gained to 0.2 Mt, a near two-year high.
