Chinese crude imports from Saudi Arabia rise
Chinese imports of crude from the Middle East rose by 815K b/d y-o-y in January and February to 4.99M b/d, China customs data shows. Imports from Saudi Arabia increased by 340K b/d y-o-y to 1.8M b/d. Imports from Russia were also higher, rising 142K b/d y-o-y to 1.7M b/d. These cargoes would have been booked prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
